It was a beautiful day for the Annual Member Guest Tournament at Mohawk Golf Club in Schenectady, NY. The weather was picture perfect all weekend, as was Robert’s shot on hole number two. Sponsored by Metro Ford Sales, all contestants received an opportunity to win a 2-Year Lease on a Brand-New Ford F-150 if they were lucky enough to hit a hole in one.
Robert Jojo and life-long friend, Raymond Moran, have made it an annual tradition to participate in the Member Guest Tournament for the past four years. They both know the course rather well and agree that hole two is the hardest par three on the course. At a length of 180 yards, the green slopes from right to left into a sand bunker, which is known for swallowing golf balls.
After being the winning pair on the first hole, Robert and Ray hit first from the second tee box. Robert took the first shot for his team using his five-iron. He recounts, “I hit my shot high, and it looked to be on the right side of the stick with a green that slopes to the left. All I knew was that I didn’t want to be left, where I normally go into the bunker. There was a group of our friends on the next tee box watching, and they started cheering as soon as the ball went in. The Vice-President of Metro Ford Sales, Dave Carach, was on the 10th hole, which is adjacent to this green, and he witnessed the shot, too. They all started applauding and shouting!” The dealership and the golfers are always ecstatic when there is a hole in one winner in their tournaments.
Winning the truck was, as Robert says, “just another bonus of what was already a great weekend with friends and family.” Robert further explains, “the tournament has always been a great time, but this just added to the fun. I won a 2-year lease on a Ford F-150 from Dave and the staff at Metro Ford Sales! They were wonderful to work with, and it was a great day!” Metro Ford Sales and their staff made everything an easy transaction for Robert and represented the dealership wonderfully.
