On an overcast day in Zachary, Louisiana, the Copper Mill Golf Course held the annual Zachary Community Schools Golf Tournament. The tournament is held every year as a charity event to help the district’s schools, as well as connecting the city’s current and graduated students. A resident of Zachary, Darren McClure attended the tournament intending to have an average day on the links with a few college friends, while helping his community.

First Shot of the Day, First Hole in One Ever

In small town Rockdale Texas, the 6th Annual Rockdale High School Alumni and Friends Golf Tournament was held at the city’s own Rockdale Country Club. For the past five years, the alumni association has put together this golf event in attempt to maintain the camaraderie of Rockdale High School alumni and students. John Shoemake woke up that morning treating it as “a typical hot, Texas day” and never imagined how atypical the day would prove to be.

Hole in One Winner Spotlight

Brian Warrender of Williamsport, PA stepped up to hole number 3 at the Evangelical Golf Classic, hosted at the Susquehanna Valley Country Club in Selinsgrove, PA. The tournament, which was in its 30th year, raised $45,000 for the hospital’s Pre-Hospital Services, which include treatments performed by emergency responders at the scene of medical crises and traumas.
