This past summer, the Redford Chamber of Commerce Golf Outing was hosted at the Golden Fox Golf Course in Northville, Michigan. A local Northville resident, 22-year-old Mitchell Bell, was fortunate enough to be invited to this event by his grandfather, Thomas Bell. Mitchell was “just excited to spend the day with my grandfather.” He likely never imagined just how special it would turn out to be. Mitchell is a casual golfer, but has been golfing since he was only 5 years old. His grandfather introduced him to the sport and they often play together for fun and in tournaments.
On a Monday morning in July, Mitchell said “it was a beautiful day out, couldn’t have asked for a better forecast,” On his first hole of the day, he started off rough with a double bogey. From there his game gradually improved up to the 12th hole, as did his confidence, when he told his grandpa he was going to win himself a new car.

As the two approached the hole, they knew what to expect because they played a round of golf at the Golden Fox just a few days prior to the tournament. Still, Mitchell said, “the 12th hole is a pretty difficult par 3 for any course.” Mitchell hit the ball toward the hole and said it felt good immediately off the club head. Sure enough, he was right, and he made his first hole in one of his long golf career to win a brand new Jeep Wrangler from Snethkamp Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram.
The dealership was honored to share this experience with Mitchell as well as his grandfather. Mitchell spoke very highly of the dealership explaining how they made everything easy and simple for him. “Everything seemed pre-coordinated, like they knew I was going to win.” Mitchell and Thomas Bell had quite a memorable day on the golf course together, and Mitchell ended the day by saying, “next year, I’ll let grandpa win the car.”
The entire team at J. Ryder Group / Auto Dealers Hole in One Program are excited and honored to be a part of this very special day! Congratulations to Mitchell and the great folks at Snethkamp Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram!
